LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS

Regency Lansdowne Guest House is set in Brighton's peaceful and elegant conservation area of Brunswick & Hove. With wide Regency avenues and seafront squares and crescents, Brunswick Town is an interesting mix of history and heritage and modern day café culture, and only 10 minutes from the buzz of the city centre and main attractions. Nearby is the Sussex County Cricket Ground and the Brighton Buddhist Centre.

The guest house is 150 metres from the sea and a short seafront stroll into the centre, with excellent bus ( www.buses.co.uk ) and taxi links if you prefer to save your legs. Easily accessible from Brighton or Hove stations ( www.nationalrail.co.uk ) a taxi fare from either station is about £5.00 ( www.streamlinetaxis202020.com )

Parking

Being a historic conservation area, parking outside the guest house is at a premium with a residents' permit scheme in place. Pay and display street parking is on offer nearby and on the seafront. Parking for eleven hours for £3 is a few minutes walk away. Better still, leave the car at home, Brighton is best explored on foot.

Gatwick Airport is 30 minutes away with good rail and road connections. Heathrow Airport is 2 hours away by the direct coach service (www.bus-pass.com).

An all-day all-bus ticket is available for £2.80 per day. This covers the whole of the city including the Marina and is valid for trips to Devils Dyke, Eastbourne and the Seven Sisters National Park (which includes Beachy Head).

The nearest cross-Channel routes are ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe (France) – Newhaven is only 20 minutes by train from Brighton, and Dover & Folkestone (ferries and tunnel to France) about 2 hours drive from Brighton.

Directions

Brighton is about 45 minutes by car from the M25 via the M23/A23 with dual carriageway all the way to the city. Once in the city and from the main seafront roundabout at Brighton Pier, turn westwards along the coast road (with the sea on your left) and Lansdowne Place is off to the right about a mile along.
